Augusta-Richmond man sentenced to life
AUGUSTA, Ga. — A man will spend the rest of his life, plus ten years behind bars after pleading guilty to a domestic violence murder.
Harvey M. pleaded guilty to mowing down his wife while her mother and stepfather were in a room at their home in August 2012.
The sentence is without parole.

RHPO: Woman stabbed acquaintance
ROCK HILL — A 30-year-old woman has been busted on attempted murder charges.
Deputies with the Rock Hill Police Office were called to GREEN ST Thursday night. That is when they found a man in his 40s slashed in the head and stomach from a concealed box cutter.
The man was taken to Piedmont Medical Center, where he is being treated for his injuries. He is expected to recover.
Deputies quickly recovered the box cutter.
Temeria Lanai Neely, 30, of Rock Hill, was arrested Thursday by the Rock Hill Police Office and charged with attempted murder.

Asheboro man charged with killing wife and setting arson fire to cover up death

ASHEBORO — A man was arrested for killing and burning his elderly wife to death.
A 67-year-old woman was found dead of one gunshot wound inside the home, the Randolph County Sheriff's Department said.
Officers had responded to a check welfare call at the home around 12:40 a.m. and also discovered that gas and burners on the stove had been turned on.
Investigators left the scene around 7:30 a.m. but returned only 50 minutes later, when a fire was reported at the same home. Officers found nobody inside the burning home.
The State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) helped the Randolph County Sheriff's Department with the arson.
The Randolph County Sheriff's Department is the lone investigator of the murder.
Joseph Levi G., 44, was charged with murder and illegally burning a dwelling following several bizarre hours at the couple's home on WOODFERN RD. That's near Woodfern Baptist Church in rural southeastern Randolph County. He is at the Randolph County Jail in Asheboro.
