After two FOIA violations, Councilman says it is time to hand over control of county's economic development team

The Barnwell County Council violated the Freedom of Information Act two times within the last month.  Given that notice, County Councilman Freddie Houston, of Williston, says that it is time to hand over control of the economic development team to the SouthernCarolina Alliance.  The SouthernCarolina Alliance is a regional economic development team that works to bring jobs in six counties -- including Barnwell, Allendale, Bamberg and Hampton. South Carolina-Aiken volleyball players Endea Ellison and Aly Johnson were named to the Peach Belt Conference's all-academic team.  Ms. Ellison currently has a  3.434 GPA and is a nursing major.  Ms. Johnson is also a nursing major and sports a 3.839 GPA.

To be eligible for the All-Academic team, a student-athlete must a) participate in at least half of his/her team's events and be either a starter or significant contributor; b) achieved a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and c) completed at least one full academic year at his or her current institution.
