Between 47-55% of all Americans support legalizing public nudity

It was a very long and very slow slog towards acceptance of public breastfeeding and putting it into the mainstream.

That finally happened in 2009.

That long, slow slog appears to be the same with public nudity.

One poll that is out shows that anywhere from 47-55% of all Americans support legalizing public nudity in most or all places. It is important to note that anywhere from 43-51% of those who support legalizing public nudity are not nudists in any way, form, or fashion.

One more encouraging bit about this story: more and more people are refusing to buy the "What about the children" bullshit that is far too often used to justify banning public nudity — this in part due to the fact that most of the respondents are from a state that it is legal for mothers to breastfeed in public. Coincidentally the "what about the children" argument was used for a very long time to dissuade, and even bar, women from breastfeeding in public.
