LITTLE RIVER — Three male suspects are now in jail after killing a 21-year-old woman on Wednesday.

A 15-year-old boy and Mike Bellamy and Brandon Littell, both 19, all of Myrtle Beach, were arrested and charged with first degree murder.

Two of the three suspects were denied bond. Mr. Bellamy had his hearing today.

"To have all these police over here like this, and we have children it's a very difficult situation because now you gotta explain to your kids you know why are all these police over here, what's going on. You know, they don't understand. It's even hard for the adults to understand as well," said neighbor Queenie Crawford.

The woman was shot at the intersection of Old Crane Rd and Sandridge Rd. She died almost immediately after the shooting.

A man was also shot, and is still in critical condition. [WMBF]

Woman in Wake County savagely murdered

RALEIGH — A 30 year old woman who had just moved from Tennessee prior to the May 14 slaying was savagely murdered by two men.

According to the Wake County coroner, the woman suffered 11 wounds to her head and neck, including a “chop wound” to her scalp and deep injury to her nose and cheek. The blows were so forceful that they penetrated her skull and dislodged teeth. The report also noted eight more wounds to the rest of her body and numerous bruises.

Her injuries were likely caused “by an instrument capable of inflicting both sharp and blunt force injuries,” the medical examiner wrote in the report.

Her eight year old daughter flagged down construction workers from NCDOT and several other companies for help at 7:30 on May 14. That is when they found the woman's body.

Ronald Lee Anthony, 23, of 1800 South Bloodworth St, Raleigh, Travion Devonte Smith, 20, of Raleigh, and Sarah Rene Redden, 18, of 3209 Scotch Pine Tr, Wake Forest, were all arrested May 22 on charges of first-degree murder.
