Planned Parenthood right to attack GOP candidates over Personhood USA's big government pledge

WASHINGTON -- We see that LifeNews.com (and LifeSiteNews.com) is once again whining over Planned Parenthood exposing the fascist GOP candidates over a fresh new radical, big government pledge that Personhood USA has unfurled earlier this month.  Here is the text of the Personhood USA pledge:
I __________________ proclaim that every human being is created in the image and likeness of God, and is endowed by our Creator with the unalienable right to life.
I stand with President Ronald Reagan in supporting “the unalienable personhood of every American, from the moment of conception until natural death,” and with the Republican Party platform in affirming that I “support a human life amendment to the Constitution, and endorse legislation to make clear that the 14th Amendment protections apply to unborn children.”
I believe that in order to properly protect the right to life of the vulnerable among us, every human being at every stage of development must be recognized as a person possessing the right to life in federal and state laws without exception and without compromise. I recognize that in cases where a mother’s life is at risk, every effort should be made to save the baby’s life as well; leaving the death of an innocent child as an unintended tragedy rather than an intentional killing.
I oppose assisted suicide, euthanasia, embryonic stem cell research, and procedures that intentionally destroy developing human beings.I pledge to the American people that I will defend all innocent human life. Abortion and the intentional killing of an innocent human being are always wrong and should be prohibited.
If elected President, I will work to advance state and federal laws and amendments that recognize the unalienable right to life of all human beings as persons at every stage of development, and to the best of my knowledge, I will only appoint federal judges and relevant officials who will uphold and enforce state and federal laws recognizing that all human beings at every stage of development are persons with the unalienable right to life.
That is its language as it appears at the present time (approx. 1 p.m.). However, there is something very sinister about this pledge.

Turns out, not only will this pledge outlaw abortions at any point in pregnancy without exception (it does not even contain an exception to save the life of the mother), this pledge will also outlaw ALL forms of birth control, in-vitro fertilization, and cancer screenings for women who are pregnant or who think they may be pregnant if wording in the pledge is turned into law in any municipality.

In short, Planned Parenthood is right on the money about this pledge when its Action Fund Executive Vice President, Dawn Laguens, attacked it yesterday.
“In the latest sign of how out of touch the GOP presidential candidates are on women’s health, the Republican front-runner, Newt Gingrich, as well as Michele Bachmann and Rick Santorum, have come out in favor of outlawing in vitro fertilization, common forms of birth control, and cancer treatments for pregnant women; as well as abortion, even in the cases of rape or incest.
“All three GOP presidential candidates have signed Personhood USA’s pledge in support of so-called ‘personhood.’ As media have reported, these so-called ‘personhood’ initiatives are an extreme government intrusion into the private lives of women and families and could outlaw in vitro fertilization, common forms of birth control, and cancer treatment for pregnant women.
“While Mitt Romney has not signed the Personhood USA pledge, Romney is on record as supporting ‘personhood.’ During an appearance on FOX News’ Huckabeein October, Romney said he ‘absolutely’ supported ‘personhood.’
“This is just more evidence that the GOP presidential candidates, including Mitt Romney, can’t be trusted when it comes to women’s health.
Personhood USA is the organization behind the effort to get ‘personhood’ initiatives on state ballots across the country, including Mississippi earlier this year.
“As an indicator of how extreme ‘personhood’ is, even voters in Mississippi, the most conservative state in the nation rejected ‘personhood,’ by 16 points when it was placed on the ballot this year.
“In the three times ‘personhood’ has been on the ballot, it has been widely rejected. Colorado defeated the so-called ‘personhood’ amendment by double digit margins in 2008 and 2010.”
Planned Parenthood knows what we are dealing with here. Anti-choicers like those working at LifeNews and LifeSiteNews are trying to mislead voters on purpose, thinking that all they want to do is ban abortion when in fact, what they really want to do is outlaw all women's reproductive rights altogether.

Women are not the only ones watching these extreme misogynists in the GOP. I am too.

And to the GOP, Personhood USA, Susan B. Anthony's List, and their radical misogynistic right wing cronies: you have all been put on notice.
